Outgrit Terms of Service

Version 1.1 — 3 October 2026. Outgrit was called Silver until October 2026. The name, this site’s address and the contact address changed; nothing else did.

These terms are a contract between you and the developer of Outgrit, an independent developer based in Budapest, Hungary ("Outgrit", "we"). Contact: official@outgrit.app. By creating an account you accept them.

1. What Outgrit is

Outgrit is a wellness app: it records what you eat, take and say, mirrors health metrics from sources you connect (such as Apple Health), and shows you summaries, trends, and statistical observations computed from your own data.

2. Early access

Outgrit is in early access:

  • Features may change, be added, or be removed.
  • Availability is not guaranteed; the service may be interrupted for maintenance.
  • We may cap the number of accounts or AI-assisted actions per day.
  • Your data remains yours throughout: export and deletion work at all times, and we will give at least 30 days' notice before any discontinuation of the service, with export available for the whole notice period.

3. Your account

You must be 16 or older. Keep your sign-in details secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. One account per person. You can delete your account at any time in You → Delete account, which permanently erases your data (Privacy Policy, section 8).

4. Not medical advice — read this section

Outgrit is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of disease.

  • The app's summaries, trends and findings are descriptions of statistical patterns in the data you logged. They are observational ("on days you X, your Y was Z% different"), not instructions, and correlation is not causation.
  • If the app ever displays laboratory values you provide, it displays your laboratory's own reference ranges and flags. Outgrit does not define ranges and does not characterize any value as normal or abnormal.
  • Nothing in Outgrit is a substitute for professional medical advice. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you saw in Outgrit. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US) immediately.
  • AI-assisted capture is an estimate that you confirm or correct; portion and calorie estimates carry inherent error and are shown as editable drafts, not facts.
  • Fuel's figures (carbohydrate per hour, timing) record what you planned and what you tolerated. They are your own records, not a prescription.

If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take prescription medication, consult a healthcare professional before making changes to diet, supplements, or training — regardless of anything Outgrit displays.

5. AI features

Parts of Outgrit are AI-assisted: turning what you say into a draft meal or check-in. Text written by an AI is labeled "AI" in the app. AI output can be wrong; that is why every AI-derived entry is a draft until you confirm it.

6. Membership

  • The membership (Fuel and Restore) is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store, monthly or for a six-month season, at the price shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before it ends.
  • Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the paid period ends.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com).
  • Free features stay free: becoming a member, or stopping, never removes your records.

7. Acceptable use

Don't: use Outgrit for anyone's data but your own (or with their explicit permission); probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; attempt to access other users' data; use the service to violate any law. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Your content and our license

Your logs, check-ins and notes are yours. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process them solely to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual encrypted backups (erased within 30 days).

9. Our intellectual property

The app, its design, its software, and its nutrition database compilation are ours or our licensors'. Nutrition facts come from the USDA Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies (FNDDS), which is in the public domain.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights where you live.

Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law: Outgrit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind; we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on observational information the app displayed; and our total liability is limited to the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from a third-party claim caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of Outgrit. This does not apply where the law where you live does not allow it.

12. Changes to these terms

We'll notify you in the app of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can export your data and delete your account; continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Hungary, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the place where you live. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts where you live. Before any formal claim, write to official@outgrit.app; most problems are solved there.
